Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics holds a seminar on the application of data

The Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Kufa held a scientific symposium on the applications of open data. The assistant teacher Saif Ali Abdul Hussein gave a lecture on the above mentioned title of the symposium and he pointed out that the data available on the internet in many sites can be exploited and analyzed by the researcher. Then the useful information can be deduced from it to help build the right decision. It has many utilizations in different areas of life such as traffic regulation, building companies, and in the daily life of the individual as well. Also it contributes to make community governments closer to the needs of their members. He addressed during the seminar the subject of analysis of these data through the preparation and organization first by the Excel program and then by inserting them into the Weka program designed for data analysis and exploration. He also addressed the use of clustering and classification technology and how to find the strengths and weaknesses of these data. The symposium was attended by a number of professors and students of the faculty.
