Huda Abdalhasan from the Department of Computer Science / Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Kufa received a master’s degree for her thesis (Arabic Text Clustering Technique to Improve Information Retrieval) .

Huda was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kadhim Aljanabi and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Almajidy.
The researcher mention that her research tried to solve the problems that are facing Arabic documents users by proposing a new approach, where the retrieved documents are classified into a limited number of groups (clusters). This approach may help the users in finding out the relevant documents efficiently and effectively.
The proposed system was applied and implemented on Arabic text documents that collected and preprocessed by using two types of stemmer (Heavy and Light).
