The Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics held a workshop titled “Tools and Techniques in the Practical Field of Optical Cable”

The Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, in cooperation with the Information Technology Research and Development Center at the University of Kufa, held a workshop on “Tools and Techniques in the Practical Field of Optical Cable.” The lecture was given by the staff of the Center and under the supervision of the Head of the Computer Department at the Faculty. The workshop aimed to enhance the practical aspect of the student and to get closer to the actual implementation of such technology in the market, the workshop comprised an introduction to the kinds of optical cable and its accessories, and the participants also performed a practical exercise on the welding and inspection mechanisms that optical cable technicians need in their field of work.
The Dean of the Faculty, Assist. Prof. Dr. Salam Al-augby said, “These activities come to increase joint scientific cooperation between the Center and the Faculty, which ultimately expands the knowledge of our students and benefits from practical experiences”.
