The Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics held a panel discussion called “Face recognition using Markov rules and individual value analysis”

The seminar was managed by Professor Hussein Hadi Al-Nu’mani, who identified the weaknesses points of the the face recognition software for Facebook, and described a new distinguishing method for faces through their photos by using the edges of the face images and adding them to the images themselves and then using some mathematical linear algebra laws to distinguish them.
The discussion was attended by the head of the mathematics department Dr. Hassan Jiyad Al-Nomani with their mathematics staff in the faculty.
